The 2016 vintage is the Crus Bourgeois du Médoc’s 9th Official Selection.
The Crus Bourgeois du Médoc’s government-approved quality assurance procedure requires that wines are selected in blind tastings by a panel of experts.
This year, 270 Crus Bourgeois du Médoc make up the new Official Selection for the 2016 vintage, representing:
- 33 million bottles which will be marketed over the coming months
- Approximately 31% of the vines in the Médoc, in very prestigious AOCs: Médoc, Haut-Médoc, Listrac-Médoc, Moulis, Margaux, Pauillac and Saint Estèphe
- Approximately 32 % of the Médoc's production
The Crus Bourgeois du Médoc 2016 are easily identifiable at points of sale, as each bottle has been authenticated with a sticker:
